6 tips for newborn Lifestyle photography

I am so comfortable and proud “side B” of the spectrum./PPAfter following the rules described in the sensitive side of newborn photography, I follow these STRONGsix tips for newborn photography:/STRONG/PPIf the baby is crying, yawning, or are sleeping peacefully, they are all important and costly because the newborn phase is so short. Talk to the parents and find out which baby items are relevant to them. However, in the first 10 days, babies sleep most of the day and can easily handle more sounds and movement. Although in lifestyle photography, newborns don’t have to sleep all the time, the session runs smoother if the baby is quiet./PPThey also have a better chance of not having skin problems, such as newborn acne, that will save you time in post-processing after the session./PPMost of the time, I confidently tell other photographers that their equipment is not as important as the person behind the camera when it comes to good images. This still applies with photographing newborns, however, you will need to have equipment that well in tight spaces and within different conditions, such as low light performance, an excellent wide angle lens and a reflector are key. (that’s already happened to me.) Remember, you can’t always prepare for what there on a newborn shoot happening, so stay calm and take everything in stride./PPThe first few days of a newborn’s life can be a vague memory for new parents who often sleep deprived and on adrenaline.
