The winners of the third annual Drone Photographer of the Year competition have been announced, showcasing some breathtaking imagery that really shows the genre at its best.
Set-up by aerial social network www.dronestagr.am in conjunction with National Geographic, the competition was divided up into three categories – Travel, Adventure – Sports and Nature – Wildlife. The overall winner was Francesco Cattuto from Italy for his stunning image of the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi cloaked in mist and fog at sunrise, using a DJI Phantom 3 Professional.
