I’ve used Helicon Focus for stacking for some time, but yesterday I upgraded to Pro version and tried out Helicon Remote. You shoot the stack via liveview tethered to your camera, after setting the front/rear focus points on your PC screen. It can handle studio flash (it just slightly delays the shots to allow recycle time for the lights) I thought it was all so tedious that having set it up I went for a shower while it did the shoot. When I got back it was ready to stack in Focus.
